Illustrated visions is my attempt to connect to many of the fans that I have had the pleasure of meeting. Throughout the year I make several appearances at Art shows and conventions in the United States. But for those of you that can't meet me at the venues can reach me here at this website. Many of have been very kind to me throughout my career and at the request of my peers and fans I have created this site. Thank you for your kind words. Illustrated Visions is my connection to you. It's the way I can meet up with you and be able to offer you the same thing I do at the shows...illustrate your vision. Over the years, I have drawn and painted various requests by fans and friends that would like to have something more personal and original. Your vision starts with reference. References are pictures of people, places or objects provided by you or myself to be used in the illustration. The references are then designed into a detailed pencil sketch on a cold press illustration board. For large facial portraits, like the ones here, I do a tightly rendered finish to capture the realistic subtleties of the photo. Other times I draw the reference with loose gesture lines to capture the overall image. The main purpose of this stage is to capture enough of the reference information to be able to capture an accurate likeness of the persons, define my light sources and create a focal point for the overall image. The colors are then layered over the pencil work until the image has achieved a definitive tone and contrast between all the elements on the page. The light sources are highlighted and all the secondary elements are faded into the background through a gradual series of color washes to create depth. Once the art is fully rendered in color, and near completion, I like to go over the illustration by detailing the art with small brushes or color pencil to make the image sharp, clear and ready for framing. Your Illustrated Vision is only limited by your imagination. Form humorous caricatures; to reverent portraits, color or black and white, I will make your image meet all your expectations. Many of fans and friends have requested to be rendered as an action hero, with their loved ones, favorite sport, musical of film stars, historical figures, or loving pets. All of these can be integrated into beautifully illustrated art. Each Illustration is an original, one of a kind piece signed by myself and accompanied by a personalized letter.
